In 2019 we were contacted by a Lady who had a beautiful late 20th Century stained glass window by Abbott & Co of Lancaster in her possession. Unfortunately it was extensively damaged when the shed in which it was being stored was destroyed by a fallen tree during a storm. Following extensive repair and restoration (including around 50 glass repairs and a full re-lead), the panel was installed in a new bespoke, wall mounted and LED back-lit frame in its new home in a private residence in Lancashire.

Abbott and Co. Ltd, based in Lancaster and London was founded in 1860 by plumber and glazier William Abbott. Following his death in 1904 the company was run by his sons and grandsons. Having moved to Fleetwood, the they ceased to trade in the late 20th Century.
