Production of our “Light of the World” stained glass window continues steadily but surely in the studio. All the glass for both lancets is now cut and etching has been expertly carried out under our direction courtesy of Simon Howard (Simon Howard Glass Studio) all the way down in Carmarthenshire, South Wales.
The next step, which is without doubt the most time consuming (but also rewarding) stage of the whole process, will be glass painting and kiln firing, starting with application of all the basic guide or trace lines.
We’ll continue to post up further updates as progress continues.
This image shows each individual piece of hand-cut glass, in it’s plain un-painted form, laid out on the cartoons ready for painting.
