This is the third in a series of short films that will follow the artists and craftsmen at Lightworks throughout the process of designing and producing a new large scale bespoke commission. The piece is to feature Neptune, the God of The Sea and has been commissioned by a private client for their seafront residence on the north-west coast of England. This video see’s Lightworks director Daniel Burke working on up-scaling the small format draft design into a full size working pattern or “cartoon” from which glass cutting and painting can then be produced.

The next installment will be looking at glass cutting and painting and should see the commission begin to take shape.
