Conservation and restoration of a large triple lancet west window as part of a much larger programme of works to seven of the stained glass windows at St. Leonard’s Church, Balderstone. This beautiful window dating to 1876 was produced by the London Studios of Lavers, Barraud & Westlake and was completely removed to allow for the replacement of the central stone mullions. Our images show a close up detail of the window following re-installation, deglazing of the main lights and the window in its entirety following completion.
