This is a large bespoke commission of stained, etched and leaded glass for a 1920’s private domestic residence in the high Peak District in Derbyshire. Following a lengthy design period in which the client was presented with a total of 6 different design schemes, production finally got underway in April 2016 and the window was completed and installed in December.
Measuring in at just under 7.5 square meters, the window was produced using mostly mouth-blown cylinder glass from Lambert’s of Germany and features central columns of stylized intertwining branches, leaves and berries. There are also a number of Bull & Goldfinches throughout representing our clients lifelong love for bird-watching.
